The Trust requires all directors accompanying another on their soul journey to commit time and energy to regular supervision, either in a group or 1:1. This helps to ensure that direction works within ethical boundaries and a framework of accountability.
The supervision process enables the directee to be assured that the director is engaging in thoughtful, reflective practice at depth, maintaining confidentiality. The directee benefits from knowing their director is able to seek regular support and help if necessary.
There is reassurance for the directee to know that their director has time and opportunity to explore their own motivations, personal conflicts, relational issues and any issues of transference in a safe and secure setting.
The Trust has a directory of those trained in supervision practice and offers regular on-going development opportunities.
If you are a director seeking a supervisor, or are interested in training in supervision and would like more information, please contact [email protected].
